Tapas and much more

From olives, almonds and grapes to safran, nutmeg and pepper. From European culinary traditions influenced by the Berbers and Moorish to Gypsy inspired recipes just like the Andalusian music the local kitchen is a unique multicultural heritage.

Between the morning coffee and the late diner at around 9pm, the Andalusians usually eat 5 other meals: 10am breakfast, midday tapas, 2pm lunch, after “siesta” snack and 8pm tapas.

The tortilla del Sacromonte, a Cordoban version of the gazpacho the salmorejo, the almond soup ajo blanco, the remojón granadino, the Zalamandroña salad, the moraga sardines, fried eggplant with sugar cane (berenjenas con miel de caña), an oxtail soup Andalusian style (rabo de toro), the Olla de San Antón, the plato alpujarreño, the gurupina, a fried goat with garlic (choto al Ajillo), the famous ham Jamon de Trevelez and finally desserts such as los piononos de Santa Fe and an Alpujarran version of meringues (soplillos) ... We love all the local specialities!
